Swiss Rules of International Arbitration

The CCIG administers international arbitrations in accordance with the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration (Swiss Rules), which have been in force since 1 January 2004. The Swiss Rules are also used by six other Swiss Chambers of Commerce (Basel, Bern, Neuchâtel, Tessin, Vaud and Zurich). The Swiss Rules were lightly revised in 2012. All arbitrations initiated on and after 1 June 2012 will be administered under the revised Swiss Rules.

Domestic arbitration rules

On 31 December 2011, the Arbitration Rules of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services were repealed. All arbitrations that refer to these rules and are filed on and after 1 January 2012 will be administered by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services under the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration.

International Commercial and Industrial Arbitration Association (ARICI)

On 31 December 2011, the International Commercial and Industrial Arbitration Association (ARICI) dissolved the International Commercial and Industrial Arbitration Court (CARICI) and abrogated its Arbitration Rules. ARICI decided to propose to entrust all arbitration proceedings filed as of 1 January 2012 which refer to the CARICI, to the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, under the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration.
