The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Swiss Uganda* in partnership with the Union of African Chambers of Commerce in Switzerland (UCCAS) and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG), is delighted to organise a “Market Focus” economic event for the Swiss business community.

This initiative aims to strengthen economic ties between Uganda and Switzerland by showcasing Uganda’s economic potential and fostering strategic partnerships between Ugandan and Swiss businesses.

The event will give an overview of Uganda’s trade and investment priorities including agriculture, agro-processing, energy, tourism, infrastructure, ICT, and mining, while fostering practical connections between Ugandan stakeholders and Swiss investors.

The forum is organized in alignment with Uganda’s national priorities to strengthen economic capacity, attract sustainable investment, and showcase Uganda as a dynamic hub for trade, agriculture, tourism, and innovation. It will provide a high-level platform to present Uganda’s key trade and investment opportunities to an audience of Swiss business leaders, while connecting Ugandan stakeholders, with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG).

Objectives:

  • Provide initial insights into Uganda’s investment and business opportunities.
  • Announce the inauguration of the Swiss-Uganda Chamber of Commerce and outline its methods of work.
  • Facilitate constructive discussions between Ugandan and Swiss stakeholders, (including SMEs) on business and investment.
