Since 2010, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has started a series of political and economic reforms, bringing liberalization and modernization to the country. This has enabled the country to have a democratically-elected government and revisit its foreign investment law, leading to an increase in foreign direct investments. Political and economic transformation is still underway, increasing the business opportunities in Myanmar. The country has a vast pool of natural resources and is strategically located in the middle of a high growth region: South East Asia.
