Further to the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA), Swiss President Johann N. Schneider-Ammann and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani agreed on 16 January 2016 on a road map for achieving closer bilateral relations, which provides a framework for future cooperation. Despite JCPOA implementation, substantial confusion remains regarding continuing sanctions by the United States, which inhibits investment consideration by European institutions.
This conference will provide a comprehensive discussion by a prominent sanctions law attorney in the US of OFAC regulations and licenses, as well as a review of past avoidable enforcement actions by the U.S. Government that were not related to licensing issues.
Prominent Swiss and Iranian business officials also will provide their perspective on important Iranian markets, investment opportunities, status of financial system reforms, and the long-term outlook of the Iranian economy.
For those interested in understanding the potential of Iranian business, and how to structure transactions to minimize risk, this conference is a must.
